DELIVERY INTEGRATION

Delivery Integration's goal is to provide users with the ability to seamlessly use third party delivery services in their restaurant, while still using Wix Restaurants online orders system. 

 

We have so far integrated with Doordash in the US and Canada as our first delivery partner.

 

As these times make delivery essential for many restaurants' survival, Delivery Integration is a super important strategic win for Wix. It gives our users the option to easily offer delivery without orchestrating their own delivery logistics, while still keeping the customers and their orders on the Wix Restaurants platform.

Writing for this product was both interesting and challenging. As we were working with a third party, we needed to make sure the text was not only in line with the Wix voice, but also with Doordash. For example, when writing error messages, many of these messages will be coming from Doordash directly and not from Wix. In addition, we needed to make sure we used the right terminology. 

 

This product was also integrated into Wix already existing Delivery/Pickup flow, and we wanted it to fit in seamlessly with our already existing product - which I believe we achieved.
