APP GATES

'App Gates' is what we called the project for working on the welcome screen pages for different apps within Wix Restaurants. These gate pages are displayed to the user when an app is not yet installed and as a way to expose them to our ‘"suite" of products. The three app gates we created were for Table Reservations, Online Ordering & Menus.

Showing one of the product gates with clear value proposition to the Restaurant users can help improve KPI's by enhancing their perception of a strong Restaurant suite offering.

In order to create content that would truly engage the user, a few steps were involved. I went over user feedback for each product and then looked at each product, noting the key elements that our users would be looking for and find useful. I also ensured there was a Learn More link if they wanted to understand more about the product.

When clicking 'Get Started' on any of the gates, they will be taken to the products onboarding flow. Note: IF they already installed any of the products, they won't be shown this page. It is aimed at users who may have one or two of the restaurant products already to show them what else is on offer.
